When built in 1877 the clock tower originally had a spire on top but this was later removed.

The church closed for worship in the 1990s and converted to a large private house. At the time of conversion the clock was renovated and was working, but has not been maintained an no longer works.

The clock faces are painted black and the hours are marked in Roman numerals with the individual minutes around the perimeter marked with dots. As is the case with many old clocks the number four is marked as IIII rather than IV as would be used today. The numerals, minute markings and clock hands are all painted gold.
