The best parking lot to use to play disc golf at the Warner Park Disc Golf Course is found at 399 Shuss Road, Manhattan, KS 66503. The parking lot is close to the side of the Target shopping center area. Shuss Road runs between the Target store and the boundary of the Warner Memorial Park, in which the disc golf course is found. The official parking for the Warner Memorial Park is on the opposite end of the park from where the 1st tee is located. You can park there if you choose, but prepare walk across the length of the park to get to the first tee pad.
The Warner Park Disc Golf Course is a 9 hole course that has many long throws in many of its routes from tee pad to basket/hole. Some are elevated, some are tree lined, and some are into the constantly blowing wind gusts. This will test your skills in throwing and should require a mixture of discs to compensate for the conditions of the course layout. Thankfully, there are no water hazards! It is fun to play because of the wide variations of shot that are required. A beginning disc golf enthusiast can play this course successfully if you play conservatively. Those more advanced will enjoy how this course design stretches you skill levels and challenges your set of discs. Focus is on the fun of the game.
