La Catedral es uno de los más destacados templos del Renascimento español. Caslos V decidió que fuese mausoleo real. Presenta un simbolismo múltiple: panteón real, alusión al Santo Sepulcro de Jerisalén y emblema de dominio imperial.
La verja, ubicaba originalmente en 1915 ante compás o plaza de acceso a la Capilla Real. se fragmentó e instaló al inicio y final de la calle de los Oficios en 1943, al amparo de la remodelación urbana emprendida por el alcalde e historiador Gallego y Burín."

The Cathedral is one of the most outstanding temples of the Spanish Renascimento. Caslos V decided that it was a royal mausoleum. It presents a multiple symbolism: royal pantheon, allusion to the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem and emblem of imperial rule.
The gate, originally located in 1915 in front of the compass or access plaza to the Royal Chapel. it was fragmented and installed at the beginning and end of the Calle de los Oficios in 1943, under the protection of the urban remodeling undertaken by the mayor and historian Gallego y Burín. "
