"Über den Berg verläuft die Staatsgrenze zwischen Österreich und Deutschland und die Grenze zwischen den Gemeinden Hittisau (Vorarlberg) und Oberstaufen (Bayern). In der Nagelfluhkette wirkt der Eineguntkopf dominant, da er breite Ausmaße besitzt und seine beiden Nachbarberge überragt.
Dieser Berg hat zwei gänzlich verschiedene Namen, die sich von zwei Alpwirtschaften ableiten. In Deutschland nennt man ihn nach der Einegunt-Alpe (1372 m) im nördlichen Kar zum Hohenfluhalpkopf, in Österreich heißt er Rohnehöhe nach der Rohne-Alpe an ihrem Südhang.
Wie an allen Bergen der Nagelfluhkette werden die Hänge für sommerliche Bergweiden genutzt.
Auf deutscher Seite sind das
Obere Stiegalpe (1178 m),
Mittlere Stiegalpe,
Ziehenalpe (1249 m) und
Untere Ziehenalpe,
während die Einegunt-Alpe selber eher dem Hohenfluhalpkopf zuzurechnen ist.
Die Alpen auf Hittisauer Seite sind die
Rohne-Alpe (1400 m),
Plattentischalpe und
Glockenplattealpe (1276 m).
Im Zusammenhang mit Gratwanderungen auf der Nagelfluhkette ist auch der Eineguntkopf ein beliebtes Wanderziel. Neben den Verbindungsgratwegen zu den Falkenköpfen und zum Hochhädrich westwärts und zum Hohenfluhalpkopf, Seelekopf und Hochgrat ostwärts gibt es auch einen direkten Weg von der Falkenhütte zum Gipfel.
Die Falkenhütte (ca. 1450 m) ist ein Berggasthaus und ein gratnaher Stützpunkt für Wanderer und Wintersportler. Im Winter bringt ein Schlepplift Skiläufer von dort aus bis zum Grat des Eineguntkopfs.

The state border between Austria and Germany and the border between the municipalities of Hittisau (Vorarlberg) and Oberstaufen (Bavaria) run across the mountain. The Einguntkopf appears dominant in the Nagelfluhkette, as it is broad and towers over the two neighboring mountains.
This mountain has two completely different names, which are derived from two alpine farms. In Germany it is called after the Eingunt-Alpe (1372 m) in the northern Kar zum Hohenfluhalpkopf, in Austria it is called Rohnehöhe after the Rohne-Alpe on its southern slope.
As on all mountains of the Nagelfluhkette, the slopes are used for summer mountain pastures.

In connection with ridge hikes on the Nagelfluhkette, the Einguntkopf is also a popular hiking destination. In addition to the connecting ridge paths to the Falkenköpf and Hochhädrich westwards and to the Hohenfluhalpkopf, Seelekopf and Hochgrat eastwards, there is also a direct path from the Falkenhütte to the summit.
The Falkenhütte (approx. 1450 m) is a mountain inn and a base close to the ridge for hikers and winter sports enthusiasts. In winter, a drag lift takes skiers from there to the Einguntkopf ridge.
The ski tour over the north slope and west ridge is also suitable for beginners.
