Marker has been defaced: elevation value has been scraped off.

However, USGS topo map, TN_Standing Rock_155805_1950_24000_geo.pdf, gives it as 648 [ft]. Designation was changed from "T Tr 49 D T" on the 1936 map [with no elevation info] to "BM 49 DT" on the 1950 version.

Marker is at the base of the smallest tree in a group of 3-4 in front of the house close to Keel Hollow Rd. Marker is about 10 ft from north edge of road.

Marker is in "fair" condition in the sense that most of the text is preserved and quite legible.

[Note: the member of The Groundspeak Team who accepted this submission observed that the marker is considered in good condition, and that it may not have even had the elev. removed, as USGS did not always imprint it. I see removal marks, but your vision may vary.]

If you're in the neighborhood, the 1936 and 1950 topos show other BMs in the same quad.
