The Pune Junction railway station is the main station of Pune. Placed in the centre of the town it is also the junction-point of other Mass Transport-systems like busses (both local and long-distance) and auto-rikshaws,. Placed on the Mumbai-Chennai-line it is the last station of the Pune-Londe-line. The first railway-station was build in the end of the 19th century and has been replaced by the current building in 1925. 8 tracks with 6 platforms are transporting about 150.000 passengers each year. The station is stop for express-trains and for local trains to Konvala
