"Situé au Sud du village, le château d’Hodoumont est une ancienne dépendance de la seigneurie de Goesnes. Le château est composé d’un logis seigneurial et d’une ferme fortifiée. Il se trouve aujourd’hui dans un grand parc exceptionnel agrémenté de bassins reliés par un canal orné de deux pyramidions, d’une charmille, d’allées de tilleuls et de hêtres. Originellement défendu de douves, le château s’est développé au début du XVIIe siècle à partir d’un donjon médiéval. Il sera ensuite réaménagé en résidence de plaisance dès la fin du XVIIIe siècle.
Le donjon est une haute et puissante tour rectangulaire s’élevant sur quatre niveaux. On peut encore apercevoir les voûtes en berceau de la cave et de rez-de-chaussée ainsi que sur la face Sud, une bretèche. Les percements datent principalement du XVIIIe siècle. La toiture, reconstruite au XIXe siècle, est supportée par une corniche sur corbeaux en quart de rond du XVIIe siècle.
Le château comporte trois tours d’angle circulaires surmontées de flèches octogonales à petit bulbe (tours NO) ou d’une toiture polygonale à coyau couronnée d’une tourette de vigie (tour SE). La façade principale, composée d’un double corps, s’élève sur deux niveaux de cinq travées. Elle est ouverte de baies à petits bois et linteau droit. La toiture en bâtière d’ardoises est percée de lucarnes à croupe."

"Situated to the south of the village, the castle of Hodoumont is a former dependency of the lordship of Goesnes. The castle is composed of a seigneurial dwelling and a fortified farm. Today it is set in a large, exceptional park with ponds linked by a canal decorated with two pyramidions, a bower, lime and beech paths. Originally defended by a moat, the castle developed at the beginning of the 17th century from a medieval keep. It was then refurbished as a pleasure residence at the end of the 18th century.
The keep is a high and powerful rectangular tower rising on four levels. The barrel vaults of the cellar and ground floor can still be seen, as well as on the south side, a bypass. The piercings mainly date from the 18th century. The roof, rebuilt in the 19th century, is supported by a 17th century cornice on quarter-round corbels.
The castle has three circular corner towers surmounted by octagonal spires with small bulbous arrows (NW towers) or a polygonal gable roof crowned by a watchtower (SE tower). The main facade, composed of a double body, rises over two levels of five bays. It is open with bays of small woods and a straight lintel. The slate gable roof is pierced with hipped dormers."
