It has many bars and restaurants along its length. There are also a number of shops and a number of roads off Boar Lane to the north bound the main shopping areas in Leeds.

The western end of the road is close to Leeds Railway station link and the eastern end is the former corn exchange. link

The building that has this road name on it was built in 1899 as the Yorkshire District Banking Company but is now a bar.
