Swedens solar system model is the largest known to the scale model. With the sun being represented by the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm the planets are to the north of it. Chosen scale both in size and distance is 1:20 million, so the model of the innermost planet Mercury is still about 2.9km away from the sun. In this model are also some of the bigger asteroids (Eros, Saltis, Vesta and 5025 PL), some of the transneptunians (Haumea, Quaoar, Ixion, Makemake, Gonggong, Eris and Sedna), two comets (Halley's and Swift-Tuttle's) and the termination shock.
According to the scale the model of Neptune is located 229km north of the Ericsson Globe. It was placed in the Strykjärnsparken in Söderhamn in Gävleborgs Län. The model is made of a acrylic glass rings forming a globe with a diameter of nearly 2.5m (for the nearly 50000km of the real planet Neptune). During the night the model is glowing in a blue light resembling the planets color.
