This pillar box stands on the south side of Ennersdale Road, close to the junction with Nightingale Grove and a few minutes walk from Hither Green Railway Station. It leans at quite an angle and is a little bit corroded around the base. Many layers of paint make some of the inscriptions difficult to read.

There is a cafe across the road and some small retail units in the area. A busy railway station is a short walk away.
