Dimbulah was established in the mid 1930's to service the tobacco growing farms now growing sugar cane, the town has a population of approx 1400. The cemetery is located 1km south of the town and dates from the earliest inscription recorded being 1972 and It includes a monumental portion, several mausoleums and a lawn cemetery .
