The Briscoe County Courthouse was constructed in 1922. The "then" photo was taken in 1939; the "now" photo in 2020. In 1954 the classical elements were removed around the upper portion of the exterior and replaced with ashlar stone. Recent renovation work required the removal of the original cornerstone, which was reset in the stair pillar at the main entrance.
