The small village of Orvelte is located in the Dutch province of Drenthe. The center of Orvelte is an open-air museum. The old farms are now used to show tourists the old farm life. This old agricultural machine hangs on a side wall of the Mantingerhof, once one of the farms. It is a cultivator for flattening and crumbling the land after plowing. It was pulled by one or more horses.
