Jessie Jeffrey - Quay Cemetery, Quay, NM - Homemade Tombstones on Waymarking.com

Just about all that remains of the ghost town of Quay is this little cemetery, which is the final resting place for about 270 souls. Although the town is long gone the cemetery is still in use, with graves as recent as this year. There are many old infant grave markers here. This marker bears no birth date, and has a death year of 1908, so there is no way of knowing if this was an infant, or a young mother, or even a grandmother. There is another stone in the cemetery that simply says "Jeffrey" with no dates.
