Prime Meridian Marker: Meridian Square - Greenwich Meridian Markers on Waymarking.com

Meridian Square is a large public space lying between Stratford Station, Stratford Bus Station and Stratford Centre. It was redeveloped into its current format in the run-up to the London Olympic Games in 2012.

This redevelopment included the marking here of the line of the Greenwich Meridian. There is a 100 foot long brass strip in 36 sections plus a plate bearing the words 'Meridian Line 0° 0' 0" E'.

It should be noted that the line is indicative rather than precise. In reality, the precise line of the Meridian runs along the other side of Great Eastern Road.
