"Black Form," a structural steel sculpture created by Israel Hadany, was dedicated by Muhlenberg College on December 14, 1984 on the east side of the Fine Arts building. Philip and Muriel Berman of Allentown, donors of the Israeli artist's unusual work, were among 40 board directors, officials and guests who attended the brief ceremonies conducted by Muhlenberg President Jonathan Messerli. Hadany, known for his bold designs and dynamic impact, was not able to attend the formal acceptance of his 12- by 4-foot work displayed on a concrete base.
