Fire Dept. Website"We provide fire/rescue protection to all areas of the city limits from two City owned and supported fire stations. We are proud members of the Bastrop County Fire Fighters Association, State Fireman’s and Fire Marshals Association of Texas, and the Texas Commission of Fire Protection.
In 2016 the city hired its first paid Fire Chief. The rest of our firefighters are volunteers committed to excellence, professionalism, and service to our customers and the communities where we live.
Our volunteer firefighters are part-time heroes giving selflessly to their community. In return, we receive full time appreciation from our neighbors, friends, and families, and joy in the knowledge that we are making our community a safer and better place to live.
