"James O. Rouse, Jr., 86, of Berger, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at his home.

"Mr. Rouse, Jr. was born in New Franklin, Missouri on June 30, 1927, the son of the late James O. and Rachel Chloe (Calvert) Rouse.

"He was the husband of Anna (Meyer) Rouse. They were married June 1, 1950 at St. Paul Church, Berger, Missouri. Anna survives in Berger.

"James is also survived by a daughter Patty Stoddard & husband Richard of Reno, Nevada, a daughter Cathy Finne & husband Bruce of Costa Mesa, California, a daughter Susie Horn & husband Mark of Altadena, California, a son Michael Rouse & wife Greta of Hermann, a son John Rouse & wife Kay Duarte, California, a daughter Frances Rouse of Berger, a daughter Christine Roehl & husband Allen of Sequim, Washington, a daughter Rebecca Aldrich & husband Steven of Hermann, a daughter Sara Lefebvre & Bill Bitters of Ballwin, Missouri, a son Peter Rouse & Paula Montez of Los Angeles, California, a son Phillip Earle-Rouse & wife Jolly of Arcata, California and a daughter Rose Larsen & husband Gary of Fontana, California, two sisters Jamie Lee Perkins of Columbia, Missouri and Shirley Palmer of Fayette, Missouri, by 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Elizabeth Finley and a granddaughter Anna Rodriguez.

"James proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of St. Paul's Church Berger, Missouri, the Hermann V.F.W. Post 4182 and of Brotherhood of Railroad Signal Man. He worked on the Katy Railroad for 10 years and then 28 years for Santa Fe Railroad." ~ Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home
