The church of St-Denis, in flamboyant gothic style, and classified as a historical monument, can be seen from far away, and its superb square tower rises to 42 m high.

In the Middle Ages, it was part of a double church (St-Denis / St-Julien) served by Cluniac monks. After the demolition of St-Julien, the church of St-Denis was rebuilt from 1520, and withstood the wars, the passage of years, and even the great fire of 1632 which ravaged two thirds of the city.

From July 2003 to February 2006, it underwent major restoration and consolidation work.

Come and discover its slender nave, its chapels, and its Renaissance stained-glass windows (dismantled during the war for their protection, and then reassembled, for some of them, in disorder...), as well as the fresco in the choir, which represents the Transfiguration and which overlooks the 18th century high altar.
