In het kader van Nijmegen European green capital in 2018 zijn er veel groene initiatieven ontplooit. In het Goffertpark zijn naast het Goffertstadion drie insecten hotel geplaatst. Dit is gedaan door NEC Doelbewust en PLaying for Succes (www.greencapitalchallenges.nl). De insectenhotel bestaan elk uit drie 'nestkastjes' gevuld met houten voorwerpen met gaten erin. De palen zijn rood, groen en zwart geverfd, de kleuren van NEC.
Many green initiatives have been developed in the context of Nijmegen European green capital in 2018. Three insect hotels have been placed next to the Goffert Stadium in the Goffert Park. This was done by NEC Doelbewust and PLaying for Success (www.greencapitalchallenges.nl). The insect hotel each consist of three 'nesting boxes' filled with wooden objects with holes in them. The posts are painted red, green and black, the colors of NEC.
