The statue depicts when Our Lord Jesus Christ spent time praying in the Garden of Gethsemane after the last supper, just before His betrayal by Judas Iscariot and His arrest. This time in prayer was recorded in all four gospels (Matthew 26:36-46, Mark 14:26-42, Luke 22:39-46, John 18:1).

Jesus is the central figure in the Christian religion in which he is proclaimed the "Son of GOD". Jesus, also referred to as Jesus of Nazareth or Jesus Christ, was a Jewish preacher and religious leader. Jesus dying on the cross to save mankind from Hell in the basis of the Christian faith.
