This location was the winter camp for Gandini's Circus, which traveled throughout this region from about 1900 up to the Great Depression. At that time the roar of lions and tigers and bellowing of elephants could be heard in Edmond! When the circus folded its assets were simply abandoned in place. Five or so trailers (thoroughly gutted and covered with graffiti) are still here, as are the remains of cages, cracked and broken cement foundations, and tent poles. Sift through the debris and you might still find a readable program or a recognizable popcorn bag.
