Ozark Greenways Bicycle - Willard, MO - Mosaics on Waymarking.com

This mosaic, depicting a bicycle, celebrates the opening of the Frisco Highline Trailhead in Willard. The ten-foot-diameter artwork, created by artist Christine Schilling, is in honor of Bill Compere, who was instrumental in the creation of the Trail some twenty-five years ago. The mosaic was dedicated on October 19, 2019.

This Facebook photo album shows several photos of the mosaic while still in the artist's studio. In these photos you see the back side of the mosaic, which was constructed face-down on a temporary substrate and then imbedded (right-side up) in concrete at the trailhead.
