This is a grave of Isaac Cary, Esq. in North Hardyston Cemetery. I was unable to find any information about his service.

The original brown headstone is showing signs of age. There is a slight crack, lichen growth and a portion of the outer layer where the text was carved is missing. I was able to locate the full wording of the headstone in a digitized book "The History of Sussex and Warren Counties" by James P. Snell.

The military issued footstone is in good shape.

According to the revolutionarywarnewjersey.com, Isaac did not serve in the war, but loaned money to the government to finance the war.
