Curious mural at LaCasse Construction in Everett. The mural begins on a thin section of retaining wall that supports the parking area and then wraps down along the alley and turns up along California Street. The artists name is at the far right as the mural tapers off toward Rucker Street.
This mural is mostly monochromatic but for some well done hightlights of color. The left side of the mural simply identifies the business in blocky letters, "Lacasse Construction" and then wraps to a new section of wall with an older style street light illuminates the mural with its bluish green and white light. This moves to quill pen and ink jar that appear on a three dimensional ledge. The 3D effect is broken by the corner which is like a post. The next section appear almost as a 3D window where black feathers emerge sweeping from right to left. At the far right appears the right ear and shoulder of a man who can not be full seen from this side alone. Moving to the right and adjusting your view you can now see that the 3D window continues and the wrinkled face and somewhat scowling eyes of man appear looking to the street. beside him is head of a large grow painted as though it is sticking its head out from behind the enclosure. beside the large crow head is a second crow but smaller facing the opposite direction. This bird is feeding on some kind of berry that has highlights of purple. It's wing feathers are emerging from this enclosed space and it appears ready to try and take flight to leave.
