This cannon was part of the defensive battery of the Pointe de la Corbière, composed of four pieces. It is today placed on the tip of the Isle, road of the semaphore, facing the sea. A commemorative plaque of the battle of Saint-Cast has been associated with this cannon: "Perched at an altitude of 36 m, its firing angle pointed at 10 °, the range of the ball of 750 kg made it possible to reach an objective up to 2000 meters. In 1758, this gun took part in the famous battle of Saint-cast against the English flotilla. found a few years ago by an inhabitant of Saint-Cast, thrown and abandoned in the Isle beach, at the fall of the cliff, where he stayed there for more than 200 years ". Its restoration was carried out by the municipal technical services, who repainted it and produced a cradle, a wooden cart, to support it. It was installed on the site in the spring of 1990. The town hall of Saint-Cast, with its Heritage section published in 2002 a document proposing "Two ballads in the heart of the history of Saint-Cast-Le-Guildo", under the direction of Marie-Thérèse de Bohan, municipal councilor, who show you the places that witnessed the Battle of Saint-Cast in 1758, with the documentation gathered by local scholars: Jean Poulain, François Le Hérissé, Jean Bourdais and Paul Desriac.
