Driving eastward along I-10 East from Junction or Mountain View toward Kerrville, there is a pull-over area with a blue information sign saying "Scenic View" about 3-3.5 miles from Kerrville, TX.

Honestly, this Scenic View area is well intended but poorly maintained by the TXDot crews or whoever is in charge of keeping the trees from obstructing the beautiful view, at least as of Oct. 2020. There is a round platform with a metal stand on it to facilitate viewing the tree filled valley view seen from this vantage point of the given coordinates. You can see part of the scenic view from the intended focal point but the trash trees growing immediately along the fence of this pull-over area are tall enough to block most of the view from the vantage point.
HOWEVER, all is not lost!! You can see an amazingly view if you walk back toward the entrance, where the "Scenic View" sign is, From the grassy area off the road, you can see an unobstructed view into the valley beyond. It actually is a much better view of it than what you'd see from the intended vantage point even with the trash trees cut down. Try moving to the alternative coordinates of N30 06.221 W099 10.524 for the better viewing.
This is a worthy spot to stop and view the hill country. There are places at this pull-over area that do give viewing of the wide open vista, so stopping here is still a good idea, and encouraged.
