This war memorial stands in beautiful El Paso Cemetery in the town of Derby.

As you enter El Paso Cemetery from E. Kay Street, the drive separates around a beautiful garden area. In this garden stands a black granite pillar with the seals of five branches of the military engraved.
A bronze plaque is attached to the granite which reads:

sacrificed their lives in defense
