The fame of Karvina town soon spread beyond the borders of Austria-Hungary and the quality of health care has remained at the top level throughout the last 150 years. Iodine-bromine mineral spring water, called brine, was fortunately discovered by baron George Bees from Chrastiny while exploring coal reserves on the grounds of his estate.

The dominant feature of the local spa (visit link) is the Art Nouveau architecture of the Community Centre including a dance hall and a few monumental villas. Guests enjoy walking and relaxing in the spa park. During the 20th century, the construction of a Rehabilitation sanatorium was begun at the other end of Karvina and a lot of procedures were moved to this new complex.

The spa also offers relaxing procedures and wellness stays. You can try some of the relaxation therapies at the Regeneration Center and Vitality World is dedicated to various bath treatments.
