Ilha de Faro, also known as Praia de Faro, is a long strip of sand which although is called "island" it's not really an island.
It's a popular summer destination and it gets really crowded. Parking becomes a nightmare and to allow everybody to park, the city build a large parking lot outside the "island".
This boardwalk leads from that parking lot area to the beginning of the bridge connecting both shores. It offers a safe path to pedestrians, with the road in one side and the water in the opposite side. Levels of water will vary with the tide.
Coordinates are from its northern end.
Length: 730 meters
Physically Challenged Accessible?: yes
