Walter Edward Hermanson (1914~2015) passed away peacefully at the Sunnybank Centre on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Lovingly remembered by his family. Predeceased by his wife Meral (2010). A private family interment will be held in July.

Oliver Cemetery was established about 1870 and is very well maintained. There is a veterans section, and a scattering garden and the oldest sections are Sage and Okanagan. There are approximately 3,500 interments that are graced by towering trees and well maintained grassy areas.
There are numerous dedicated benches and trees, and a memorial garden with a gazebo.
