Farmers Branch is proud of their parks and trails, branding themselves a "City in a Park". This and other stainless steel benches in the park are slightly generic, but they have been customized to let the light shine through the seat and "City in a Park." A bronze plaque with the Rotary International emblem is attached to the back of the bench, reading "Metrocrest Hospital Authority". The Metrocrest Hospital Authority oversees a variety of care facilities in the local area, including North Dallas, Farmers Branch, Carrollton, Coppell, Addison, and The Colony, so this was most likely a joint effort with the local Rotary Club to share costs while beautifying the park.
