"Veteranbanen er en rest af den jernbanen der blev anlagt mellem Horsens og Silkeborg i 1929.
Banen blev dengang kaldt ”Danmarks smukkeste jernbane” på grund af natur og det kuperede landskab den var anlagt i. Banen blev nedlagt i 1968. Den smukke strækning mellem Bryrup og Vrads åbnede året efter som veteranbane. Fra Bryrup snor banen sig gennem skovklædte bakker forbi de tre søer Kvindsø, Kulsø og Snabe Igelsø ud til den gamle Vrads Station.
Vrads Station ejes af veteranbanen, men drives som restauration af en forpagter."

The veteran railway from Vrads to Bryrup is a small part of the railway between Silkeborg and Horsens established in 1929.
At that time the railway was called "the most beautiful railway in Denmark" because of the nature and the hilly landscape. The railway closed in 1968 and opened as a veteran railway in 1969 between Bryrup and Vrads. From Bryrup the railway passes by wooded hills and by the three lakes: Kvindsø, Kulsø og Snabe Igelsø.
