Today, this side of the block is dominated by modern housing and parking. Five-pointed stars flank the title, and the text reads:

In the 1850's, a wagon road led from McKinney to Dallas, passing through the Plano area. Today, it is K Avenue. By 1870, several businesses were located along this road, including a blacksmith shop and wagon yard owned by Andrew Klepper. By the mid-1890's, this block also included a grocery store, the Plano Hotel and Plano's first Masonic Lodge.
