The bridge is a Historic England Grade II Listed Building.
"Bridge. Late C18. Ashlar. 6 segmental arches, the central 4 having recessed voussoirs. The 3 central piers on each side have pointed cutwaters carried up as pilasters to parapet level; the 2 outer piers have pilasters only. Band at road level, chamfered coping. The bridge has been widened on the upstream side."

Although the bridge has been widened, there is quite a sharp bend in the road approaching the bridge at each end. Traffic approaching the bridge has to give way to traffic exiting the bridge to give room on the turn, but once on the bridge it is wide enough to accomodate two way traffic.
