The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is dedicated to preserving and exploring the history, environment, and culture of the entire Chesapeake Bay region, and making this resource available to all.
There are tours available or you can elect to do a self guided tour. Either option you choose, it can take up to two or more hours to visit all the sites.
Tour sites include a working shipyard, a lighthouse, waterman's wharf, Oystering on the Chesapeake, watercraft collection, Small boat shed, Maryland Crabmeat Company, Steamboat Building, Mitchell House, Corn Crib, Waterfowling house, and the Bay History/ Model Guild.
May to October, 9am–5pm
November to April, 10am–4pm
Closed: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s days
