This building at 301 W. Gentry, is a two-story brick building constructed in 1905-1909. The second story overhangs the first by 3-4 feet on the east and south, supported by six large concrete pillars. On the second level, the pillars are extended by brick pilasters, leaving 4 bays on the east and 2 on the south. The wood-framed windows on the second level are set in pairs with transoms, with the windows to the north over an included storefront being boarded.
The main entrance is on the canted southeast corner. The original tin panel ceiling and the tile floor at the entrance are intact. The remodeled door is metal and glass, with a transom, and the ground floor windows have been replaced with metal-framed fixed units. The building is currently occupied by Coldwell Bankers real estate appraisers.
This bank building is a contributing building to the Checotah Business District National Register listing.
