Prominently installed near the main entrance to the grand St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in St. John's. Newfoundland, this stone memorial serves to remember "all babies lost to abortion". Installed May 9th, 1997 by the Knight's of Columbus, specifically the E.P. Roche Assembly 2028 and the Archbishop Howley Assembly 0623, both members of the Terra Nova Council.
According to one source, 1997 represented an all-time high in abortions performed in Canada, with 111,526 reported abortions.
