The Walker/Landsborough Tree, a coolabah (Eucalyptus Mycrotheca), was blazed by Frederick Walker, leader of the Burke Relief Expedition into the Queensland interior. Walker's journal notes passing the present site of Hughenden on 23 October 1861. William Landsborough also blazed this same tree in March 1862. Landsborough led the Burke Relief Expedtion from the Gulf of Carpentaria south to the Flinders River just east of Hughenden before continuing south to Melbourne.
