The witness corner is generally S, 0.9(7) mile from the trailhead of the Eagle Crest River Walk. It is just off the trail, bearing NNW and 24" distant from a wire fence. There is an opening in the fence allowing hikers but intended to block the passage of bicycles, and especially horses.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on a steel post rising 6" in a collar of stones
