[FIN] Vuonna 2015 valmistunut Vuorenneito-ympäristötaideteos muodostuu kaukolämpötunnelin suuaukon rakenteisiin maalatusta 50 metriä pitkästä, 15 metriä korkeasta nukkuvasta peikkotytön hahmosta sekä läheiseen kaukolämmön pumppu- ja ventiiliasemaan toteutetusta herätyskellosta.
Teos on toteutettu yhteistyössä Turku Energian kanssa. Kuvataideprojektien parissa Turku Energiassa työskentelevän Kososen mukaan energialaitoksella on havaittu taiteen pääsääntöisesti vähentäneen töhrimistä.
Vuorenneidon teospari on saman kaukolämpötunnelin toiseen päähän toteutettu Vuorenpeikon temppeli. Se sijaitsee Turun ja Raision rajalla, Naantalin pikatien varressa.
Vuorenneito muraalin eteen voi ajaa luolavuorentieltä. Bussipysäkki on myös lähellä.
[EN] The Vuorenneito environmental artwork, completed in 2015, consists of a 50-meter-long, 15-meter-high sleeping troll girl figure painted on the structures of the district heating tunnel mouth and an alarm clock made at a nearby district heating pump and valve station.
A pair of Mountain Maiden is the Temple of the Mountain Troll built at the other end of the same district heating tunnel. It is located on the border of Turku and Raisio, along the Naantali expressway.
