A stone WWI memorial tablet in the south porch of St Peter & St paul's church, Preston Capes. It consists of a mounted marble tablet with gold lettering. Carved in relief, in each corner, is a flower.
The inscription reads -
TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF
THE MEN OF PRESTON CAPES WHO
SERVED IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919
(NAMES)
"THANKS BE TO GOD, WHICH GIVETH US THE
VICTORY THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST"
