"Les ombres claires est le legs permanent de la Ville de Pointe-Claire pour souligner le 150e anniversaire de la Confédération canadienne. Les cinq formes totémiques sont perforées d’icônes inspirées de nos spécificités territoriales : silhouettes de végétaux, de poissons et d’oiseaux, pales du moulin et voies ferrées qui produisent différents jeux d’ombrage créés par la lumière naturelle."

"Les ombres claires (Light Shadows) is a permanent legacy of the City of Pointe-Claire, marking the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation. The five totemic shapes are perforated with icons inspired by the specific territorial aspects of our region: silhouettes of plants, fish and birds, the blades of the windmill, and the railway create a play of shadows on the ground resulting from changes in natural light".
