"Cane Creek Park was selected as the site for this educational project about nonpoint source pollution because of its urban setting and accessibility to the public. The project is intended to educate people about the causes and impacts of nonpoint source pollution and to protect Cane Creek Lake and other bodies of water from harm. As you read the signs along the trail, you will learn more about water pollution and what you can do to protect it.
This educational sign trail will discuss how water flows, how water becomes polluted, and ways to prevent water pollution, especially in urban areas."
