From an article in the local paper:
"Dedicated Sept 2014. We have the English language for our parishioners, French to honor our sister parish in Haiti, Spanish to honor our various Spanish ministries, and Nepali to honor our Bhutanese refugee families who have resettled in Grand Haven and sponsored by our church, in partnership with Bethany Christian Services. 6-foot tall, four-sided, hand-crafted, red cedar pole bearing white Plexiglas plaques with the phrase “May peace prevail on Earth” in four languages, along with braille for the blind."
It is in a nice little garden near the stairway. This pole has the very helpful feature of plaques beneath each inscription indicating the language!
So the church is named for two saints. We found a statue of St. Patrick. No such for St. Anthony. A little irony in the latter.
