[FIN] Vuonna 2007 Suomen Pankin Turun-konttorin pihalla iskettiin vieden 1,5 miljoonaa euroa rahojen lastausvaiheessa.
Rahojen kuljettajia uhattiin käsiaseella ja heidän kätensä sidottiin. Suuri määrä seteleistä jäi ryöstäjiltä rikospaikan lastauslaiturille. Rahankuljetusyrityksen työntekijä toimitti rikollisille tiedot aikatauluista, reiteistä ja turvajärjestelyistä. Ryöstäjillä oli Volvo V70 merkkinen pakoauto, jonka he hylkäsivät myöhemmin.
Ryöstäjät pääsivät pankin pihalle mukanaan tuomilla tikapuilla ja sitoivat kesken rahojen lastauksen yllätetyt arvokuljettajat nippusiteillä. Yksi miehistä odotti viereiselle pihalle pysäköidyssä farmari-Volvossa, joka myöhemmin löytyi hylättynä Purokadun varrella olevalta parkkipaikalta.
Pankkiryöstäjät jäivät kiinni myöhemmin kun yrittivät Liedossa toteuttaa samantapaista ryöstöä rahankuljetusautoon, mutta poliisi oli tietoinen tästä jo etukäteen. Kaksi ryöstäjistä saatiin kiinni myöhemmin Barcelonassa, Espanjassa.
[EN] In 2007, EUR 1.5 million was robbered in the yard of the Bank of Finland's Turku branch during the money-loading phase.
The robbers reached the bank's closed yard with a ladder they brought with them. Security company's moneydrivers were threatened with a handgun and their hands tied. A large number of banknotes remained from the robbers on the loading dock at the crime scene. An employee of the Security company provided the criminals with information on schedules, routes and security arrangements. The robbers had a Volvo V70 escape car, which they later abandoned.
Bank robbers were caught later when they tried to carry out a similar robbery on a money truck in Lieto, but the police were aware of this in advance. Two of robbers were also later caught on Barcelona, Spain.
