Auch außerhalb der turbulenten Marktzeiten bietet der Marktplatz einige tolle Adressen, um etwas für sein Geld zu bekommen. Der Marktplatz wurde 1985/86 von Grund auf neu gestaltet und überarbeitet und lädt somit selbst nach Ladenschluss zu entspannenden Rundgängen ein. Im Winter trifft man sich hier auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt, im Sommer zum Rommersfood Festival. Zum traditionellen Tanz in den Mai lädt der Förderverein des Löschzuges Rommerskirchen der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Ende April auf den Marktplatz an der Kirchstraße ein.

Rommerskirchen ist die südlichste Gemeinde im Rhein-Kreis Neuss. Sie liegt an der Grenze zwischen den Regierungsbezirken Düsseldorf und Köln. Die rheinische Metropole Köln und die Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf, die jeweils nur 20 km von Rommerskirchen entfernt liegen, sind per Auto oder Zug schnell zu erreichen. Die Kreisstadt Neuss sowie die Städte Grevenbroich, Dormagen, Pulheim und Bergheim liegen in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft.


Even outside of the turbulent market times, the marketplace offers some great addresses to get bang for your buck. The market place was 1985/86 completely redesigned and revised and loads itself after closing time for relaxing tours. In winter people meet here at the Christmas market, in summer for the Rommersfood Festival. At the end of April, the Rommerskirchen Fire Brigade Fire Service Association invites you to the traditional dance in May on the market square on Kirchstrasse.

Rommerskirchen is the southernmost municipality in the Rhine district of Neuss. It lies on the border between the administrative districts of Düsseldorf and Cologne. The Rhenish metropolis of Cologne and the state capital Düsseldorf, which are only 20 km away from Rommerskirchen, can be quickly reached by car or train. The district town of Neuss and the cities of Grevenbroich, Dormagen, Pulheim and Bergheim are in the immediate vicinity.
