This polished granite memorial is located immediately east of the pond-side gazebo in Walter Baker Park, Kanata. As the year 2000 approached, many changes were coming. The city of Kanata ceased to exist, becoming just another neighbourhood in the much larger city of Ottawa. This memorial became one of the final creations of the Kanata city council.
In recognition of Kanata
residents, businesses and organizations
who gave much effort and support to
build this Millennium Landmark.
