In vroeger jaren heeft op deze plek ruim 200 jaar een molen gestaan (vanaf 1611). In 1868 brande de molen af en werd deze herbouwd door een wipmolen. In 1873 werd de molen gekocht door Cornelis van der Erve. Hij combineerde het molenaars beroep met dat van boer. Van der Erve liet in 1875 een nieuwe woning bouwen aan de Dorpsstraat 31. De korenmolen zelf werd omdat deze onverkoopbaar was in 1922 gesloopt. Het huis staat er nog steeds en is sinds 1973 een rijksmonument.

In earlier years, a mill stood on this spot for over 200 years (from 1611). In 1868 the mill burned down and was rebuilt by a hollow post mill. In 1873 the mill was bought by Cornelis van der Erve. He combined the profession of miller with that of a farmer. Van der Erve had a new house built at 31 Dorpsstraat in 1875. The corn mill itself was demolished in 1922 because it was unsaleable. The house is still there and has been a national monument since 1973.
