NRHP Nomination Form

"Three-Story and basement, reinforced-concrete structure built in 1910 to replace 1889 wood-frame Hale County courthouse. Architect was H.A. Overbeck; contractor, McRea Building Co. Brick veneer, cast-stone trim around windows, cast-stone stringcourses between basement and first floor and second and third floors. Cast-stone parapet cap, dentil-trimmed cornice and handrails on all four sets of exterior stairs. Slightly pointed metal dome, sometimes painted in two colors."
